Wow, I'm actually updating my blog.
Hellllllo, as some of you may know I was on holiday last month, in Minehead.. Which has a poundland and as some of you will also know I looove a good beauty bargain so when my family and I took a trip into the town for some shopping I couldn't resist having a quick look at the makeup section of Poundland.
And of course, I bought things, quite a bit actually and since I filmed a video for this but the file broke, I decided to write a blog post! I love reading poundland hauls and so, here I am..
Let's go!
First, I know that Sinful Colors is big in America, not so big over here though so when I saw these for only a pound I grabbed them quick.I picked up this gorgeous shimmery silver (left) by Sinful Colors. It is very pretty but I haven't had time to try it out yet though! It is in the shade 'Out of this World' and I'm so excited to try it. On the right is 'Cool Gray', I love this shade and think it is going to be perfect for Winter, maybe with a pale blue accent nail.
These next three are quite bright. On the very left is a lovely vibrant purple in the shade 'Let's talk', I haven't worn this yet but it's next in line! Middle is 'Mama-Saan' and it was the only one left in the entire shop, so I was extremely proud of myself! Very right is 'I miss you' and it is the cutest little purple based glittery polish, I wore this over 'Cool Gray' for part of the holiday and it looked so lovely.
My favourite out of this group must be the red, called 'GoGo Girl' I wore this the other week and it came off really easy and didn't stain my nails, like other reds have in the past. In the middle is 'Nirvana', it's a really basic brown colour. I think this will be nice in Autumn. On the end is 'This Is It' I love the name so much, I haven't worn this yet though.
We're on to the blues. From far away they look the same, but look closely and you'll notice the difference. On the very left is 'Midnight Blue'. I'm pretty sure the middle is 'Ciao Bella' but I'm getting confused between the two. Oops. Then on the right, I assume is, 'Hot Spot' which is cute.
Thhhhheeennn, from Poundland's own nail polish brand, Pretty I got a nail strengthener which is very good, I use it before I apply any polish, like a base coat. I also got this lilac speckle by Pretty, I already have this in mint green. I have to say that it was very difficult to get the black speckles out evenly and into a nice pattern on your nails without clumping the lilac polish up or it having too much black. But, I heard that it's a pretty (ha, get it) good dupe for the illamasqua speckle polishes.
I always see lots of Sally Hansen in the pound stores but I never really pick anything up. I did, however, pick these two polishes up. I got two Sugar Coat polishes. The yellow is called 'Sweetie' and is so pale and pretty. The black is 'Lick-O-Rich' and is so cool, I put this on Courtney's nails and they looked really cool. She said it came off really easy, and easier than she expected.
On the left, is a basic Revlon polish in 'Black Lingerie', I put this on my toes about a week ago and it is still on there, hanging strong. Woo. On the right, is a L'oreal Color Riche polish in 'Midnight Mistress'.
On the left is Revlon's chroma chameleon in 'Topaz' and on the right is a Maybelline MNY my varnish in '757'.
More Sally Hansen!! These two polishes came in a pack together so only 50p each. Left is in 'Chartreuse Chase'
Okay, maybe I went overboard. I fell in love with these Calvin Klein eyeshadows. They are the tempting glimmer sheer creme eyeshadows. Starting on the top left we have 'Cashmere Plum', then underneath is 'Sheer Nectar', then to the right of that is 'Gold Velvet', then 'Vintage Metal' Then on the top on the very far right is 'Retro Bronze' then underneath is 'Bare Silk'. I have used a few of these and I love them alot!
I got a gold one of these a while ago from Poundland and I really liked the packaging so I got more. The nudey-pinky shade on the left is called 'Coconut Shake' and it's so cute and versatile. The dark purple is called 'Burning Black', misleading name. Then the bluey-grey is called 'Pebble Grey' and it's cute.
#MOSTAMAZINGFINDEVERAMIRIGHTLADIES I found this amazing Stila powder foundation for £1. £1. £1. Just let that sink in. It's in the shade E which looks really dark but actually matches my skin tone well and leaves me with a matte slightly tanned finish.
I love the look of my mascara pot when it is full to the brim so everytime I see a nice looking mascara, I get it. I got the Poundland's own brand, Chit Chat, lash-building mascara and it is actually really good. It gives your lashes a pop and is super pretty. The mirror patterned mascara is by Famous by Sue Medley. I'm not too keen on this as the stick seems to get coated in mascara everytime I pull it out of the tube so I have to wipe it every time I want to use it and because of this, I haven't used it yet.
On the right is Rimmel's Vinyl Gloss and it is so beautiful and I can't wait to wear this. On the left is Sally Hansen's Daily Lip Moisture Gloss. I found a nude shade one of these the day before I got this one, I went to the till without and the grumpy cashier refused to sell it to me as "it was off sale" but then she continued to scan something else to act as the Vinyl Gloss since it had no barcode and I was thinking, just scan a different thing, like you just did, and put in my gloss. How is it not on sale if it is out on your shelves? Take it away. But me being me, I said nothing. I wish I said something buuuuut, anyway I went back the next day, found this one, popped it in one of the poundland 'Famous Brands' bags that the other makeup comes in and handed it to a different cashier, he put it through and now I own it. What a hassle for nothing. She could've just give me the gloss, it was £1. It couldn't be any other price, obviously. Okay, RANT OVER!!
Colllllective Haauuul!
These are things I purchased at other times. From the 99p Store I got these two polishes, two OPI crackles in the shades 'Red Shatter' (Left) and 'Black Shatter'. Wow, OPI really went creative with the names.
Well wow, don't these two look similar? It's because they are the same polish that I got twice because I am an A* idiot. This is China Glaze's Crackle Glaze in 'Oxidised Aqua' and I think it's really cute.
And then my collection became 7. 7, really? Did I really need 7 of the same brand eyeshadows? Truth is, yes, I did. I love them! This is in 'Retro Silver'.
On the left we have Maybelline's forever strong PRO in 'Green Miracle' and it's so pretty. If you were wondering I'm currently wearing this (Check the stila photo for a look) and on the right is another Pretty polish in 'Denim Look' I had this on yesterday and I'm not too fussed about it.
This wasn't from the poundland, it was even BETTER! From home bargains, I got this Rimmel Wake Me Up Cream blush in 'Radiant Rose'. I got it for only 79p!!!!! And because of this bargain, I'm going back in the next few days to get it in all the other shades, woo!
That's it. All done! Do you love a good beauty bargain? What is the best bargain you ever got from a pound shop?
