My Favourite Lip Products

I love love love lip products and I love trying different colours and products out. I have a few categories that I have picked my favourite lip products/colours out for so let's begin!

My favourite nude lip has to be a combination of  two products.

This is the P.S. love (by Primark) lip liner and the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 07. This makes a matte sort of darker nude lip which is really on trend at the moment.

It looks sort of similar to Kylie Jenner's famous lip colour. I prefer this to a light or orange nude.

My favourite pink has got to be this MUA Kiss proof lip stain, I love this product mainly because you can either apply it lightly for a simple "my lips but better" shade or you can layer it up to create a deeper pink almost red.

 I like to go for a half way between these two methods. This lip product will literally last all day and give you a rosy lip for the whole day which overall makes you look blushed and healthy.

My favourite Red lips are the Rimmel Apocalips in Stella and the Maybelline Color Show Elixir in Scarlet. My favourite red lip liner is the Rimmel Exaggerate full colour lip liner in the shade 057 Ravish. I love the look of a glossy red, SIDENOTE- My application gets so sloppy here. Sorry :)

My Winter lip go-to's are these combinations, all topshop products, oops! Wicked is my current favourite complete lipstick and I love pairing it with light clothing and dark clothing, it just looks good with everything! However when I use the lip liner in Deception and the matte lipstick in Beguiled it looks very blood red and vampy, which is really lovely. 

This is beguiled, the darker more evening-suitable lip colour..

And Wicked..

My favourite light and durable Summer lip product is the Maybelline Color Drama in the shade 210 Keep it classy, It's a quick application thanks to its crayon tip, it looks very rich and matte on the lips and lasts all day long.

It's a lovely dark, rich pink which just looks so beautiful on.

My All time favourite lip product is the collection Cream Puff and I love it mainly in the shade Fairy Cake 3. It's a lovely matte with a really durable and smooth formula, perfect for all year round paired with any outfits. It also smells so nice!!

One of my top favourite "Crazy" lip colours is from Topshop. 

It's in the shade "Straight Ace" and is a lovely purple. It's a lovely lipstick however does make my face look a little pale and washed out. HOWEVER, I love it so much and I'm excited to work it this Summer! 

My favourite lip balms are the eos balms, I have them in the Strawberry and the Mint Vanilla flavours/scents/shades. I also love all of the baby lips but my favourite one is Peach Kiss and I love this product to pieces.

I also love photographing this product, IT'S SO PRETTY!!!!!!

Shopping Trip w Courtney

So, today me and Courtney decided to set off for a lovely day in a sort-of nearby city, it's the closest city with a good shopping selection.

So, getting up at half 7 and being ready and leaving the house by 8 we set off on the train, reading our newly bought magazines.

 We arrived at the city and straight away went to BHS for an all you can eat breakfast, which was delicious.

We then began the shopping, we spent plenty and enjoyed the shops alot. 

We stopped for a quick starbucks, I got a red berry yoghurt blend and Courtney got a mango one I think.

After buying our entire body weight in clothes we headed for a dinner, we were gonna go to Cosmo but it was closed so we decided on a MacDonald's. We both got a big tasty with bacon (My original choice), it's the best thing from MacDonald's.

Prom

On Friday 3rd July it was my prom, I am in year 11 although I've left school and will be going to college in September. I was a bit unprepared for prom because I left alot until two weeks before the actual day. (Big mistake but worked out okay in the end) I wish I'd have bought my dress sooner so I could've had it turned up/fitted but I'm also glad I left it so late because I was nervous I'd change my mind on the dress before it arrived. As it happened, the dress fitted well and I loved it. My dress can be found here on amazon, I got it in burgundy.

On the Wednesday before, I went to get my spray tan (which went horribly wrong, but ended up okay) then afterwards I went and got my nails done.

At around 2pm, on the day, my friend (who is a qualified beauty therapist) came round to do my hair and makeup, she did an amazing job and I was so extremely happy.

We went with curly hair, with a slightly off-centre parting and braids bringing it to the back, I had a small bouffant and we clipped it in the back with a clip I got from the Katy Perry collection at Claire's, which if you'd like you can get here.

For makeup, we went for a glittery gold eye with a smokey effect to it, I had a slight winged eye liner and we put on some single lashes dotted in random places. I loved the makeup and thought it looked so pretty. We went for a simple nude lip.

We finished at around 4pm and I waited around half an hour for Courtney to arrive and then we had a impromptu photoshoot in my garden. 

We headed to one of my friend's houses to have pre-drinks and photos. At around 5:15pm our taxis arrived (Not quite pumpkin carriages but similar) and we arrived really early. 

At around 6pm they served food, knowing our school it was probably the leftovers from days before. BUUUUUT, then it was pudding time and the pudding looked delicious!

For drinks, we got sparkling water, absolutely mental!! But it looked classy with my tanned and accessorized hand.

Then we partied for a bit and then left the prom. The prom itself was okay but the rest of the evening improved 100%. Me and Courtney and a few other friends all headed to parties, I had two parties to attend and went to both for a bit. I wore a black dress with a white grid from Select for the after parties. I had a looooot of fun.

And that was the end. The prom was so much fun and the whole day was really fun!! I would relive it anyday.

My Current Favourite Eye Makeup

So for today's post I wanted to talk you through my favourite eye makeup for the moment. I'm really loving the shimmery look at the moment so that's basically what it is, I used two shades from the W7 palette called "In The Buff".

I used silk all over the lid, this is my favourite new lid colour, it's so shimmery and pretty. I then use my fingertip to blend the edges of the eyeshadow just so we don't have too many sharp edges on the eye makeup.

I then applied the shade Dust to the outer half of my eye and brought it through the crease leaving just the inner third completely silk alone. I love the palette so so so SO SO SO much and I did a post on it which you can read here.

For my eyelashes I first curled them alot, I curled them for 10 seconds then applied the Benefit They're Real mascara then curled them again and applied more mascara, I know I said in this post that I wasn't too keen but I find that if I curl my eyelashes alot it seems to work a lot better.

Party Makeup ~ Smokey eye with red lip. 💄

I was feeling pretty adventurous so I wore a cute red lip with a black smokey eye. It was a pretty basic smokey eye at that. 

I just used some black eyeshadow in the outer section of my eyelid and then blended it with my fingertip. 

My outfit was all primark and I love it a lot.

Benefit They're Real mascara

I purchased the They're Real mascara from the Benefit stand at Duty free in Luton airport. It was 21.40€ which is £15.00 so I've technically saved £4.50. You can buy it here from Asos for £19.50..

There is so much hype surrounding this mascara and a lot of people love it. I saw a few people wearing it and their lashes looked amazing so when I saw it at the airport I just bought it on impulse. Unfortunately it hasn't yet impressed me massively. 

I struggle finding a mascara that I really love and this mascara just does the same as other mascaras I have that cost half the price.

It doesn't really look like I'm wearing a £15 mascara compared to a £2 drugstore one if I'm honest. I really want to love this mascara and I'll keep trying to find a way to make it work for me.
