Seeing One Direction Twice in one week - My trip!

So for those of you who don't know I recently had a little trip around Britain to see One Direction twice. I went with my internet friend Nancy and it was so much fun so I thought I'd do an itinerary-style recap with all of the photos. If you prefer things in a video format, I also (using the term loosely) vlogged the trip.

Saturday 3rd October 2015

Me and Dad set off on the train at 9:08am, we got to Manchester for around 3pm and checked in to our hotel. I got changed and ready. Outfit info in vlog.

We set off to find the Arndale, literally just so I could get my Taco Bell kick! I LOVE TACO BELL!

We got lost in Manchester coming home that night, which was a bit of an experience I suppose?? Funniest thing was, Dad asked two police officers who were in central Manchester and they literally had no idea where they even were either. SAME MANCHESTER POLICE, SAME. Thanks for the help lads!! Eventually (Not that long after, because I'm a genius) we arrived back at our hotel. We stayed in the room watching the England rugby game, since we are Welsh we happened to be cheering for the other team, obviously not very loud though, we ain't about that gettin' mugged life.

While we were out I saw this cute little canal bridge with locks on it. I think this is so cute and I just had to take a picture! I did my nails while we watched the rugby, these are a stick-on manicure, I love them!

Sunday 4th October 2015

Dad and I had to be out of the hotel by 11am so we headed down for breakfast at about 10am. (we had planned to go down for 8, but I'm lazy af) I loved my outfit for this day(details in vlog)!!
We left the hotel at around 11 and went for a walk to the train station. Nancy wasn't getting to Manchester until around 2pm so me and Dad found ourselves a little home in a pub called The Piccadilly just down the road from the station, where we were meeting Nancy and her Nan later on. Eventually we met them and we all headed to find our hotel. It was a looooong car ride since there were protests in Manchester meaning alot of roads were closed and we were redirected all around the place. Dad was supposed to go home on the train this day, but thanks to him coming with us and us getting lost he missed the train. Thankfully the Premier Inn gave us a slightly bigger room free of charge. -thank you Premier Inn xxxx-

Then we got ready for the One Direction concert. I wore this outfit, that I looooove. My top is either Topshop or River Island, my skirt is select and my shoes are actually tesco!! Cheap but so amazing. Lipstick is Topshop's Beguiled and eyelashes are Tanya Burr! Rings are from River Island! I loooove this outfit!

The boys were so amazing and our seats were ok. I booked them and I'm not pro so the seats aren't as amazing as they could've been but One Direction were so amazing it didn't even matter where we sat.

You know you partied too hard and had a great night when this is how you catch the lift back to your room;)

Monday 5th October 2015

Outfit today was basic, as we were literally just travelling the whole day. Red sox jersey is from a stall at V festival. Jeans are primark and shoes are Nike. Coat is peacocks and I love this coat, it's my main winter coat.

Before we set off to travel to Carlisle we decided to stop by the Arndale for a quick shop! I ended up buying my first MAC lipstick.

And then we headed off on our car ride to Carlisle, on the way there we stopped at a services and I happily indulged in a burger king.
When we got to Carisle we checked into our hotel and Me and Nancy had a bit of laptop time. Then we fell asleep, we were so tired from travelling all day!

Tuesday 6th October 2015

On Tuesday we literally just chilled all day on our laptops and watching Deal or No Deal. Crazy life we lead!! I think we just wanted to have a more relaxed day for one day of the holiday. That evening me and Nancy set off via taxi into the centre of Carlisle to see The Intern in the cinema, It was such a good film and I'm definitely gonna watch it again!! If you haven't seen it I definitely recommend it.

Wednesday 7th October 2015

On this day we set off from Carlisle and headed to Glasgow. We stopped off at Gretna Green for a quick browse in the Wee Big Shop. It's really lovely there and is famous for runaway marriages, which is romantic.

When we got to Glasgow we headed straight for the train station, we got to walk past the backstage of the arena, we didn't see the boys though!! We caught the train to the middle of Glasgow and stopped off for some shopping in Buchanan Galleries. I ended up buying a few things including another MAC lipstick and eyeshadow. To see everything I got you can watch my haul!

Buchanan Galleries was so much fun, especially since where I live we have literally no cool shops and no giant shopping centres!
I also had my first Nando's this day and lost my Nando's virginity. What an experience, it's a bit like Taco Bell and I loved the chips! Next time I'll actually try something spicy as I literally went for no hotness apart from the chips. (Which were delicious!)

How creepy is this art on the bridge. I had to take a photo.

We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the boys' show again!
My outfit was pretty basic. I wore the same Tesco shoes, a River Island top, Primark jeans and my bag is from Primark aswell. My eyelashes are Tanya Burr again and I wore Viva Glam III by Mac I think for my lips!
One Direction were, of course, amazing again and our seats, thanks to Nancy, were fricking amazing!!! She picked such good seats. Because we were sat on the side of the stage we could see the backstage door and we spent most of the run-up to the concert trying to work out who all the people were. After Jamie Lawson (the support act) played, he walked out of the door and we yelled in perfect timing "We love you Jamie!" and he waved at us, we then tweeted him and he tweeted me back, YAAAAS JAMIE! Our whole block was not ready to party at all before One Direction came on but Me and Nancy were literally so hype, we were singing to 5SOS when they came on the big screen and shout-singing to Jamie Lawson! After the show we obviously had an impromptu photoshoot on this cute window, much to the people in these hotel room's annoyance I'm sure!

 Thursday 8th October 2015

This was the last day of my trip and my flight was at 11:45 and I stupidly got to the Airport at 9 thinking it was at 11am. So I had a 45 minute wait on my own until check in. Honestly, flying alone was really really scary and I was a bundle of nerves the whole day. I was absolutely pooping myself! Don't even get me started on take off, I hate taking off at the best of times so me, alone, pooping myself, taking off sitting by random strangers was a bit tragic. I was shaking the whole trip but chose not to let anyone know. I dealt with my nerves well and when we landed I was filled with relief. I sat next to a kind old lady on the plane who even offered me a bit of her KitKat, which I politely declined since I was feeling incredibly sick!

Even though I found it so incredibly scary I would definitely travel and fly alone again. I actually secretly enjoyed just being alone and reading. Next time I'd have more things for myself to do as I did find myself a bit bored. After we landed I had to catch a shuttle bus to a train station near by, sit at the station (which smelt of wee) alone for about an hour then get on a train to another place that is not my home. There I had a short wait for another train and finally I was home. It was an incredible trip and I'll definitely fly again!! This trip once again fueled my passion for travelling and I can't wait until my next experience.

Tanya Burr's false eyelashes.

Hello!

So today, I wanted to discuss Tanya Burr's makeup range with you. I haven't gotten around to buying her beauty products yet but while I was on holiday a few weeks ago I decided to purchase two of her false lashes as obviously I went to One Direction and that's just a massive excuse to go OTT with your makeup, right?

I purchased the date night lashes for the Manchester show and the Bambi eyes lashes for the Glasgow show.

date night lashes

This is a rubbish picture, sorry. And you'll be happy to know I've had my eyebrows waxed since this. I adore these lashes, they really stand out and make your eyes pop. They're definitely not for everyday wear but for special occasions like One Direction concerts they're perfect ;) As far as the actual lash, they definitely didn't feel or look cheap.. The glue that came with them was good quality and mine stayed on all night, even through all of the yelling and screaming, and crying, and singing, and yelling, and shitting, and stuff. One problem I tend to find with eyelashes is that either the inner corner starts to peel, which didn't happen with these, or that when my eyes water(which is inevitable, they water ALL of the time) it affects the glue and the lashes start to fall off, which also didn't happen so YAY! FAB WOO. Just a shameless selfie to the right, I loved how my makeup looked for the Manchester show and I felt on fleek, even when RUNNING in heels around the arena to try and meet Jamie Lawson. We got close but I ended up just having a selfie with him very distant in the background, still a selfie though right? **Also he tweeted me, before the Glasgow show #goals**

For the Glasgow show I wore the bambi lashes. All of Tanya's products are packaged so beautifully and the lashes all look very nice in the packet, it makes you want to buy them all!

bambi eyes lashes

To me, these look alot more natural and are more wearable for everyday.. As you can tell the inner section has started peeling in this photo but that could be my fault(?) I'm genuinely not sure. The quality is the same and the glue is the same, all well-made and great products. I love the look of these and would definitely buy them again. Same with the Date Night lashes aswell!

So, overall I think these are brilliant products, fabulous quality and I'd definitely repurchase, It is such a plus that they are so cheap too! If you're interested in gettin yo'self some Tanya lash action then here's the Superdrug website. -http://www.superdrug.com/microsite/tanya-burr-  Tanya advertises them as pretty and easy to apply lashes and it is 100% true on both accounts.

My favourite Halloween movies!

So, it's one day in to October and Alanna's already hype af.. But I can't help it, I love it so much! So in the hopes to get you all as excited as I am I thought I'd share with you some of my very favourite Halloween films! These are in no particular order and I love them all equally!

I'm not too keen on the scary side of Halloween, I enjoy the creepiness and the freaky things but not the scary things or horrors. So most of these will be comedy or family genre movies!

Hocus Pocus

If you're looking for a qwerky yet cool Halloween costume, dressing as one of these witches would be so cool, my favourite is Sarah Jessica Parker's character. Also, Max is literally so attractive like woah.

See what I mean? But for real, this film is so good, definitely worth a watch!

The nightmare before Christmas

This is a little different, it's a freaky musical movie. My dad doesn't like it too much because it's very weird thanks to it being by Tim burton, but I think it's so good. I love the songs and it's so artistic!

All of the creepy characters are so cool and strange in their own way and this is definitely one of those films that makes you excited for Halloween, my favourite song is of course 'this is Halloween' Side note: this is perfect to watch when it gets closer to Halloween because it does have Christmas in it and right now that's the last thing I want to think about!

Halloweentown

This is a Disney original movie, it's a little cringeworthy at times and probably is my least favourite from this list but either way, I love it and will definitely watch it a few times this October!!

A simple wish

I'm not sure you can count this as a Halloween movie at all but all I remember is I used to watch it all the time when I was little and it had witches and magic and I just loved it, also it has cute little Matilda in it! It's a really funny movie and is definitely worth a watch! My favourite part is when Murray, the man in the photo, uses magic to give someone a frog in their throat, literally and they start vomiting frogs all over the stage.

Edward scissorhands

I'm pretty sure every single human has watched this film, it's such a classic. Johnny Depp is so talented and can I say attractive? The scars make him look so much more attractive, oops. This film is quite upsetting, as well as I can remember. I cannot wait to re watch this in the run up to Halloween.

Caspar

Apparently Caspar lee is more famous than this movie!! When I googled I could barely find it, go Caspar!! Anyway, this film is one of my absolute favourite movies of all time, never mind Halloween and I could watch it on repeat without being ever bored. EVER.

I love all these films and I hope reading this post has got you all ready for Halloween! Leave me a comment to let me know what you want to go as for this Halloween!

Paper Towns

Hello everyone!! So today, I thought we would talk about Paper towns, I went to see the film in the cinema a few weeks ago and I loved it. After a brief review I'll show you my #OOTN! I am not a film critic, these are just my thought bubbles while watching the movie put into words!

******SPOILER ALERT******

So, overall the film was amazing, Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne are brilliant. They are the whole reason I wanted to see it if I'm honest. Cara is obviously so iconic and I love her and Nat is just so amazing, I love him in Stuck in Love and I think I'm in love with him, he's so adorable.
The main storyline is about a boy called Quentin (Nat Wolff), he lives across the road from this adventurous and aloof character, Margo (Cara Delevingne) He's amazed by how different she is when they're very young and his amazement continues to grow as they get older, so does the distance between them, she joins the popular crowd while he stays in the background with his two dorky yet cute friends. Margo and Quentin share an unexpected, wild night of mischief and fun to fulfill Margo's revenge on a few people. Quentin basically falls in love with her, but the next day, she's gone! Desperate to find out where she is, he searches her room (After struggling for permission from her little sister) and eventually he goes to this creepy abandoned shop (Of course, with his friends unhappily behind him)

After a long time of searching and playing Inspector Clouseau they finally work out that it's all about Paper towns, small towns that map makers put in to make their map uncopiable and so they can easily tell when someone has copied it.

Also, paper towns are a real thing, we have one right here in the UK called Argleton! I'm going to visit it one day, I prooooomise!!

Anyway, so, he tracks her down, has a bit of trouble but then finds her.. She didn't want to be found, she basically tells him that he wasn't suppose to be looking for her, the clues were merely to let him know she was Okay. He comes to the conclusion that she never was this crazy, mysterious girl but just a regular teenager who everyone thought was aloof and strange. Quentin goes home, goes to prom with squad and Margo is almost forgotten about.

So, I adored the main parts of the film, I thought him unraveling all these clues to find her was the cutest, most romantic thing ever and I'd want my partner to do it for me. (except I wouldn't because I wouldn't disappear like she did) I feel like I really connected with Quentin in his search for her, he just loves her! But to me, the ending ruined the whole excitement. (Not the whole film, as I've said, I LOOOOOVE THE FILM!) Her not wanting him was such a disappointment, I'm used to films where they get together, get married, have babies and live forever after and I like those endings. However, maybe it is good that it didn't have a classic, stereotypical ending. But I can't help but wish he got the girl and I hate to say it but I think it made me dislike Margo, it seems like all those clues, that he struggled to read and spent hours depicting, all lead to nothing. She left them all for nothing, he did all that work and although he *found himself* he basically got nothing, especially, he didn't get what he wanted. It just seemed a bit sad to me. However, the friend I went with loved the ending and loved how it wasn't traditional.. maybe it's just a personal preference.

Side note: I do loove how in the end she wasn't this mysterious girl but a regular one, it really made the story seem more realistic.

I'll say it once more, I loooooved the film and would 110% watch it again and buy it on DVD when it comes out and I definitely recommend it to you if you fancy a lil romance movie one night.

Now onto my outfit!

I wore a regular pair of primark jeans which I rolled the bottoms up of, because I wish I was John Lennon, honestly. I also wore this bold af pink woolly jumper from Select.

I curled my hair regularly and applied my normal face makeup. My lipstick is probably Topshop's Wicked and my eyebrows are overgrown af because I have to grow them out to be waxed in a few weeks. No judgies please.

That is it for today, hope you enjoyed!! Thanks for reading!

Autumn Candles!

Candles are one of the best seasonal things. I am a big candle lover and I love changing them out each season. However, I'm not picky about whether or not a certain scent fits in the current season! Recently I bought a big bunch of Yankee Candle votive candles and this season I'm excited to try out a few of them!

Pain Au Raisin To me, Autumn is all about baking. I'm going to be baking so much as soon as I get into a routine with college and stuff. I love baking, as you might know and I'm hoping to try a few new recipes this season!

Cappucino Truffle Honestly, I hate coffee, almost everything about it turns me off but I have a weird like for the smell and I think this candle might make me like coffee more, which is always a plus because energy!!

Tarte Tatin and another baking scent. Personally I'd never baked, nor heard of, a tarte tatin but now I'm weirdly inspired to try and make it. We'll see. I'm excited to know what it smells like too!

Black Plum Blossom Floral and fruity scents are my two go-to's so having the two-in-one makes me so excited to burn this candle! It's also purple which is always a win!!

Angel's Wings Ok, so naturally this is perhaps a summer scent, but I think it might be nice to have a less intense smell around my room sometimes, since all of the others are pretty strong.

Ginger Dusk Normally me and ginger have a love hate relationship so let's see if I love or hate this candle this Autumn!

My Autumn/Fall Essentials!

So, I know we're not into Autumn just yet, but it does start later this month so I thought I'd get this out ready for you so you can be prepared.

Body Butter. During these colder Autumn/Winter months it's really important that you look after your skin, the colder weather and change in humidity can dry out your skin really bad, so I suggest you get a good moisturizer so your skin can enjoy the Autumn too! I would recommend the body shop body butters, my current favourite is Papaya but I also love the satsuma one. This is extra important if you have eczema like me as your skin can really suffer if you don't moisturize regularly. Focus on your knees and elbows especially!
Dark lips. One of my favourite Autumn trends is the dark makeup looks, burgundy eyeshadow and smokey eyes just make this part of year even more enjoyable! Dark lipsticks are perfect for this time of year, I feel like dark everything is perfect for Autumn. My choice dark lip at the moment would be Topshop's Wicked, however I'm excited to try out a bunch of lip colours this Autumn.
Eyeliner. Similar to dark lips, dark eye makeup is a nice Autumn trend so I recommend this PS love (Primark) liquid eyeliner to help you get your wing on fleek! Literally, get your most adventurous eye makeup out this Autumn!
Beanie. Hats are a great way of accessorizing per season, summer you'd wear a floppy hat or maybe a snapback. But for the colder months beanies definitely come in handy, whether you're going out shopping or just off to school a beanie can make your look more Autumn-y and keep your eyes warm at the same time, honestly cold ears is one of my pet peeves!
Coat. Pretty obvious, especially if you live in the UK! We need to buy a big puffy coat for the Summer so in Winter you want something similar to a ski suit. Obviously, that's not entirely realistic and honestly would ruin your #ootd so I recommend a parker coat, which were really on trend last year or a harrington jacket, I adore mine.
Combat boots. For the past few years combat boots have been a staple of my Autumn wardrobe and this year will be no exception, I do want to buy a new pair though because my current pair look like they've had better days.
Candles. Another fantastic thing about season-change is the candles! Going from Ocean Waves to Pumpkin Spice can be a big leap but it's a fun step. I love buying a few new candles every season to get me excited about the following months. Last year my favourite candle was a Yankee Candle called Autumn Leaves.
Dark nails. As with the makeup trends, nails are good dark too. My favourite shades are emerald green, burgundy, maroon, midnight blue, black, navy. So many lovely dark shades. Get those Autumn manicures going!!
Burgundy. This colour has had a few mentions already so far but it's because it is my ultimate Autumn colour, my whole wardrobe will be burgundy this year, I don't care. Burgundy is such a lovely colour, it can be worn as a dressy, fancy wine colour or you can casually wear it day to day. It's just perfect!
Baths. What is better than a nice hot bath after a long day? A nice hot bath after a freezing cold long day. You may be thinking freezing cold? I think your thinking of Winter but I'm not. Autumnal weather is almost exactly the same as Winter in Britain, we have two types of weather throughout the year, Icy cold and cold.

Those are all my essentials for Autumn, I have some fun blogposts and videos planned for the upcoming months so stay tuned and leave any requests in the comments. I know a few of you have asked for a makeup collection and storage video, but I promise once I am happy with my set up of storage and "organisation" I will film and have it up for you!!
